About me

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to stop and read my profile.

I know how overwhelming it can feel to choose a therapist that will be right for you, as I've been through the process myself!

There are so very many reasons that a person seeks therapy. Feeling stuck or repeating the same patterns, symptoms from childhood trauma or due to depression, anxiety, overwhelm, and overthinking, to highlight just a few. It helps to give light to any challenges you may be experiencing, and I am here to support you in finding your inner strength to gain a better understanding of why you may behave or react and respond to life and within relationships, and to begin to see new techniques of coping with them and make positive changes.

My reasons for training as a therapist were a combination of my deep need to understand my own ways of thinking and responding to the world through any existential crises and challenging lived experiences, and a real need to support others who may be feeling the same way.

Travel and exposure to various cultures, religions, and ways of living and different approaches to live my life with an open mind and open heart. I believe that there are many different pathways to reaching our end goal(s).

As a pluralistic therapist, I work collaboratively, creatively, and intuitively. I encourage clients to 'come as they are, and however it is they feel', and they will be welcomed into a warm, empathic, open-minded and non-judgmental space, where we can truly be our authentic selves and work through these challenges together.

I work with adults, young people, and children, and with over 15 years of teaching experience, I am both qualified and sensitive to the challenges that can exist within family dynamics and relationships.

I welcome everyone with open arms and work from a neuro-affirmative approach to therapy and into a safe and secure therapy space. I look forward to meeting you and working together to find new ways to live your life in a more empowered, knowledgeable, confident, and happy way! :)

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

As a neurodiverse therapist who was only diagnosed in adulthood, I have lived experience of how difficult it is to live with neurodiversity in a neurotypical world from the perspective of childhood and adulthood, what it means to go through the assessment process, and work from a neuro-affirmative approach.
