Accred, Psychotherapist, Relationship Therapist & Supervisor

About me

Many of the people I work with arrive feeling exhausted by anxiety, low self-esteem, ADHD nobody takes seriously, or a relationship that has quietly broken down. You may look fine on the outside. Inside is a different story.

I'm Kate, an accredited Integrative Psychotherapist, Supervisor, and Author specialising in couples therapy, ADHD, anxiety, trauma, and low self-esteem. Using an integrative approach, I tailor every session to what you actually need — gently uncovering the patterns that have been shaping your life, often since childhood.

This is a space where you don't have to perform.
Whether you're an individual, a couple, or a therapist seeking supervision — I'm here, without judgement, at your pace.

Couples and Relationship Therapy

Relationships are where our deepest wounds surface — and where the most powerful healing can happen. I work with couples who feel stuck in cycles of conflict, disconnection, or broken trust. You might be struggling to communicate without it becoming an argument, navigating an affair, managing the impact of ADHD on your relationship, or facing family pressures that are pulling you apart.

What sets my approach apart is my understanding of how attachment issues, anxiety, and low self-esteem drive relationship dynamics. When we understand what's underneath the conflict, we can finally change it.

I also work with individuals navigating dating, new relationships, and the transition to parenthood — helping you build the self-esteem and relational skills to create connections that feel genuinely safe.

I work with:

Communication difficulties

Conflict & anger management

Affairs & betrayal

ADHD and its impact on relationships

Intimacy & disconnection

Attachment & commitment issues

Family issues

Separation anxiety

 Individual therapy

What sets me apart as a therapist is my specialisation in low self-esteem, alongside extensive work with ADHD and anxiety. These challenges often overlap, deeply influencing the way you see yourself and how you experience relationships, work, and life.

Having low self-esteem can impact many areas of your life, including relationship choices, career, parenting, and emotional well-being. Living with ADHD or anxiety can intensify these struggles—whether through self-doubt, overthinking,  emotional regulation, difficulties with focus,  rejection sensitivity, or feeling “not good enough.”

You might appear “high-functioning” on the outside, but internally, you may feel that you’re not good enough."

In our sessions, we will explore the root causes, which often stem from childhood experiences and the negative core beliefs that continue to shape your internal narrative. Together, we’ll work on understanding these patterns so that you can build a healthier, more compassionate relationship with yourself.

I specialise in working with:

Couples and Relationship Therapy

Dating and New Relationships

Anxiety  & GAD and Depression

ADHD

Low Self-Esteem

Trauma

Clinical Supervision

I offer individual and group supervision for trainee and qualified therapists working in private practice, organisational settings, or with couples. With over ten years' experience and a BACP accreditation, I provide reflective, honest supervision that supports both your clinical practice and your professional confidence.

I use an integrative model drawing on Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, CBT, Gestalt, and the Seven-Eyed Model. I also support therapists building their own practices — including guidance on client attraction and marketing.

My approach

I'm an integrative psychotherapist, which means I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches — including Person-Centred therapy, Psychodynamic work, CBT, and Gestalt — tailoring each session to what you actually need. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to mental health.

"My aim is always the same: to make sure you feel truly heard — perhaps for the first time."
I work with Aviva, AXA, WPA, Alliance Health, Cigna, and Vitality health insurance providers.

Free 15-minute consultation

Choosing a therapist is one of the most personal decisions you can make. That's why I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute phone call — a chance to talk through what's bringing you to therapy, ask any questions, and simply sense whether the connection feels right. There's no pressure. Just a gentle first step.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
