PSYCHOTHERAPY AND COUNSELLING
I provide bespoke integrative psychotherapy, counselling, and coaching to suit the unique needs of each person. I offer long-term psychotherapy, short-term counselling (minimum 12 sessions), or single-session therapy (one-off), providing a confidential and safe sanctuary for you to explore your emotions, behaviours, relationships, and life's complexities.
A normal part of being human is experiencing challenges in life, but sometimes those challenges may feel overwhelming. When life events bring about pain or distress, they may prompt us to question our fundamental beliefs; we may begin to reassess our habitual responses and explore alternative ways of being. Whether you're navigating chronic anxiety, depression, emotional pain, destructive relationship patterns, complex trauma, physical pain, or monumental life events, therapy with me serves as a unique relationship alliance characterised by compassion, empathy, trust, clinical expertise, understanding, confidentiality, and a nuanced understanding of human behaviour and its complexities.
As we don’t choose our genetic and developmental background, the journey of self-exploration can be challenging, perplexing, and intricate. Research indicates that seeking professional therapy significantly increases our likelihood of success in the recovery process. Psychotherapy can be a powerful, life-changing experience, enabling you to overcome emotional, relational, or social challenges, bringing the unconscious into the conscious, to improve your mental health and fulfil your incredible potential and journey in life.
MY INTEGRATIVE APPROACH
My integrative approach allows me to work with your presenting issues and symptoms in the most helpful way to you and your understanding of your relational world. I facilitate the way forward for you to make different choices that will empower you to improve your mental health and physical well-being. Together, we will work on strategies that allow you to address and overcome any symptoms of suffering and adversity you may be experiencing, understand the root causes of your difficulties, allow you to build stronger foundations for your mental well-being and develop the skills you need to thrive in personal or professional spheres, helping you feel more empowered to live a more fulfilled and happier life.
My therapeutic approach is enriched by extensive experience and diverse professional backgrounds in mental health, health and wellbeing, psychology, the corporate world, academia, and high-performing industries. My strengths lie in my capacity to build strong therapeutic relationships with my clients, whereby you feel understood and supported, while simultaneously adapting my intellectual rigour, clinical expertise, and psychotherapeutic knowledge to meet your specific needs best. Together, we can explore current and past experiences and discover new ways of being in the present moment, managing challenging situations, and providing practical coping strategies that will support your psychological well-being. It's like exploring the ocean's depths while also riding the waves. It addresses the whole you, mind, body, and soul. It's not just about symptoms but your overall well-being and happiness, empowering you to be an active participant in your own healing journey.
Integrative psychotherapy is like the eclectic playlist of therapeutic approaches. I combine different clinical evidence-based methods and a comprehensive range of psychological and clinical therapies tailored to suit your needs, considering your specific issues, symptoms, personality, and preferences. Integrative therapy is versatile and flexible in helping you explore and manage your symptoms. My integrative therapeutic style is relational and empowering, with a strong leaning towards Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Attachment Theory, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), Trauma-based neurobiological approaches, Transactional Analysis (TA), Existential theory, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and Interpersonal Neurobiology.
WHAT RESULTS CAN YOU EXPECT?
The therapeutic process is a deeply personal and transformative journey unique for every one of us. It requires dedication, effort, consistency, and a willingness to delve into the inner self and explore one's thoughts, feelings, emotions, behaviours, and experiences. Integrative counselling and psychotherapy open the door to a wide range of positive transformations, including:
- Calmer ways of being and interacting with yourself and your relationships.

- Address current life challenges, process past trauma, and develop strategies for future resilience.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
