About us

At Serendipity we are a team of professionally registered, highly qualified psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors, occupational therapists and mental health specialists based in Northamptonshire and working across the Midlands including Leicestershire, Milton Keynes, Cambridgeshire, Coventry, Warwickshire, London, Brighton, Sheffield and several other areas of the UK. Our team aspire to deliver exceptional, personalised psychological treatment and care to our clients throughout the time we're needed. We offer a range of specialist support and pathways of care, including a lower-fee pathway for those who may struggle to access independent therapy because of the cost. For information on any of our pathways, please get in touch and we can talk to you about them.

All the work our team offers is collaborative and supported within our company. We only work with professionals who we are confident in and believe to be exceptionally capable at what they do. We always seek client feedback about our team so we know how best to grow and develop ourselves in line with the needs of the people we work with.

Our Values:

Our team at Serendipity are a lovely bunch who have evidenced to us that they share our core values of:

Taking the confusion out of access to mental health support: We appreciate it's confusing to know what would be the most helpful support for your needs. It can be disheartening to scroll through endless lists of therapists, not knowing whether they'll be able to meet your needs. We work hard to find the right person to support you and also accept that the first person you meet might not feel the right fit. In which case, we stay with you for the journey and will help find another of our team to support you. You can always come back to our central team and ask for more help.

Team work and collaborative care. All our clients should receive a team approach to their care. This might mean they have access to the support of other therapists in the team when they need it, or that their therapist has access to help within the team when they need some support to do the best they can by their clients. We also commit to working collaboratively with other agencies who are currently involved in the care of our clients, and to refer on to the agencies that might be helpful for our clients such as the NHS, independent mental or physical health services, or local authorities.

Equal access to mental health support. Regardless of the level of difficulty, we believe everyone should have the chance to access independent mental health support if they feel this is a viable choice they can make; our team have signed up to ensuring those colleagues providing this help are fully supported by us so they don’t ever feel alone or isolated. We commit to working together.

The right to choose. Everyone should have the right to choose to access independent mental health support if it’s financially feasible for them, and the treatment they receive should be at least as high quality as they would receive through the NHS, if not higher.

Client-led discharge. We believe that wherever possible our clients should be able to end a period of treatment and return at a later date for further help and support if they need or want it. Therapy can be a healthy workout for the brain and good for sustaining good mental health so it might be a lifestyle choice for some!
