About me

*Free brief initial telephone/video conversation (15 minutes)*

I can offer you a safe, confidential space to explore the areas that you are having difficulties with in life. It takes courage to reach out and access therapy. Are you feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, empty, disconnected or experiencing any other feelings that are preventing you from enjoying life? Reaching out for help is one of the bravest and kindest things we can do for ourselves.

I am a professional, empathic, and friendly Integrative Counsellor/ CBT practitioner, who is committed to helping my clients explore solutions to their problems, enabling them to move forward with their lives. I work with clients in a welcoming and supportive environment, integrating a variety of therapeutic approaches to maximise change.

Throughout the past 14 years, I have counselled clients within a variety of settings, both within the private and public sector. I offer a safe, non judgemental and confidential space in which you can explore any issues you may feel that you need help with, which may include depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, panic attacks, isolation, psychological impacts of trauma, self harm, suicidal ideation and addictions.

I am a qualified Person Centred Counsellor/ Integrative Therapist; utilising CBT to implement positive change. I am also a registered member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy); and therefore I abide by its ethical framework. I have regular supervision and engage in continuing professional development. I am enhanced DBS checked, and work with children, young people and adults.

I strive to create a safe, therapeutic space, where we can work together in order to explore your areas of concern; which may be uncomfortable or distressing to discuss.

I offer face to face appointments, as well as appointments via phone, Zoom, FaceTime and Microsoft Teams.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
