About me
Croeso, Welcome. I am currently working online or over the phone. I think that thanks to COVID communication online is less strange than it once was and I have found that it can be equally as effective as face to face for most people.
I am a parent of two grown-up children, I was married to a man and after divorce, I 'came out' to friends and family and now label myself as 'gay/lesbian'. I am an animal lover, love nature and walking with to help maintain both physical and mental health.
If you are confused about the type of counselling you need, then simply put. You need to feel that you can talk to the person you are with and feel heard. We are human and will never be a 'one size fits all'.
I have had a varied career working for several years in London working with people with drug/alcohol dependency, domestic abusers/survivors and currently work with bereaved families, people who are survivors of child abuse, suicide and/or vulnerable or intimidated members of society (which could be any one of us at certain times in life).
Sadly there is not much I have not heard however everyone's story is individual and how it has affected you can never be undermined as it is your journey and experience so should not be compared to others. Life can be hard even if you feel it has been stable up to now. It is a sign of strength reaching out to feel heard.
Thanks for getting this far and feel free to message me to book a session if you so wish. Have a great day.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a professional diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice. I completed 3 years of training with Chrysalis which included Hypnotherapy in my 1st year. Feel free to look me up in the National Hypnotherapy Society.
I am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.
I have spent the majority of my working life working with survivors of domestic violence, abuse, addiction, and bereavement. I give people a voice at times they find most difficult and allow people space to self-reflect and grow.
