About me
My name is Ryan, and I am a Pluralistic counsellor. I also have 41 years of experience as a music teacher helping young people to reach their goals. I can provide you with a safe and supportive environment from which you’ll be listened to and helped to frame the difficult questions.
As a Pluralistic Practitioner, I bring together different approaches to therapy, considering a person as a whole and providing counselling which is tailored to suit your individual needs and circumstances, on a short or long-term basis. As a music teacher, I like to bring in the use of Music Therapy and also offer email counselling.
I can help you explore your emotional landscape at a pace that is right for you, without making judgments. Many people experience emotional difficulties at some point in their lives including Depression, Anxiety, Family Issues, Relationships and Work Pressure and need to talk through issues to help find a way through. Whatever the issues you are facing, taking the first step can be the hardest.
I specialise in Mens mental Health that can include:
- Being overwhelmed
- Feeling stressed at work
- Family Issues
- Partner Issues
I also have personal experience of living with someone who is Neurodivegent and understand the struggles this can bring to Neurotypicals - partners, family and friends.
Gender diversity and sexuality (LGBTQIA+) including transgender issues is an area I also specialise in along with my passion for counselling the mental health of Teachers including retired teachers as I fully understand the stresses put on us and the affect this can have on family life and our own mental health
I am passionate about helping my clients to live life with Confidence and Authenticity. The aim is to help you deepen your understanding of yourself so that you can begin to make positive, and meaningful, changes to your life. That's why each session is tailored to you needs.
