About us

Working through life's challenges together...

Hello there, welcome to Relational Counselling, where healing begins. It's really positive that you’ve taken the first step by looking for support. We know that reaching out to a therapist can be daunting, but we are here to take it at your pace.

Your therapist strives to help you feel heard and reach any goals you may have in a safe, non-judgmental and supportive space. We view therapy as a collaborative effort between yourself and your therapist, in which we work together to focus on ways to help you move forward. Therapy is a journey that helps you make sense of what is going on. When we make sense of our situation, it helps us to tackle the issues and difficulties we face. Our style is warm, open, and empowering, and we consider establishing rapport and building trust as the foundation for all therapeutic relationships.

As integrative psychotherapists, we believe that our early life experiences affect our behaviour and personality in adulthood. Our unmet needs can influence our decisions in adulthood, where we can unknowingly (unconsciously) try to recreate our experience of childhood by doing what feels ‘safe’ (familiar). However, this can mean getting stuck in ways that may no longer work. Therapy can help you become more aware of yourself and find new ways of coping. Our role as a therapist is to take therapy at your pace, explore your past, and offer you understanding, new coping strategies, gentle challenge and a safe, non-judgmental, supportive space. Our integrative approach combines various modalities. We will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

We believe healing comes when we share our story with someone who is understanding, empathetic and does not judge.

It takes courage to seek support. If you are ready to take that step, we are here to help. Please do not hesitate to contact us.

Together, we can find a way forward.

Member organisations *

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
