About me

Hi, I'm Kroy (The Autistic Counsellor) an openly Autistic, ADHD and Dyslexic counsellor. I celebrate neurodiversity and support the challenges faced by people with learning difficulties. This includes but is not limited to Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD). You may have a diagnosis, or you may just want to explore the possibility of being neurodivergent.

  • Bright lights or noises can seem overwhelming stressful or uncomfortable
  • Anxious or upset with unfamiliar situations
  • Thinking the same thing over and over
  • Hobbies seem like an obessesion

Being Autistic and having ADHD (AuDHD) myself benefits neurodiverse clients greatly as I understand the unique processing ways and needs of such clients and can tailor the sessions to suit your individual needs, (including sensory issues). I can also help with education facilities not applying reasonable adjustments. I offer suppor to parents of neurodiverse children as this can be challenging in different ways.

Everybody faces mental well-being challenges in their lifes, my commitment to you is:

  • to treat you with compassion
  • to accept you unconditionally
  • to be authentic in my relationship with you
  • to work to empower you in working towards your goals

My practice is inclusive and welcomes everybody, I offer support to all LGBTQIA+ clients and those seeking support in understand their sexuality, gender issues or relationship styles including transgender issues. I have a unique take on relationship styles and what this means for you as person.

I also offer Emailing Counselling for those clients that like complete anonymity or don't wish to be seen as on video counselling.

I have a special interest in mens health as 1 in 8 men in the UK has a common mental health issue. The damaging stigma around mental health affects men disproportionately along with social stigma, gender roles and expectations. It is important if you are feeling:

  • Overwhelmed
  • Feeling stressed by work
  • Family Issues
  • Family Life getting to much
  • Partner Issues
  • Money issues
  • Sexual isuues

To reach out with no pressure or expectations.

Speaking to a counsellor can be a transformative experience for people and has a positive effect on confidence, resilience, sense of self-worth, family relationships, and friendships.

In a society that tells you to hide your Anxiety reach out and speak up.

In a society that tells you to keep quiet, to just get over your Depression.

In a society that expects you to struggle alone reach out and be heard

I will accept you, your thoughts, feelings, and actions, as you are, without judging you.

I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation so you can sound out if our fit would be right, there is no obligation to set up more sessions, we can take it at your pace. The frequency and duration of sessions are something we can tailor together.
