About me

Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile. I appreciate that it’s difficult to choose a therapist based on their formal profile/ clinical experience alone. Its important to trust how you feel when engaged with that person, not just what you know or think about her. Therefore, I believe that it could be helpful to meet for an initial session, to give you the experiential advantage to deciding whether you would like to go through your process with me.

Below is a short description of my practice. You can read more about my practice on:

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a BPS chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with HCPC, available for face to face appointments in London, EC2M (City of London), SW1E (Victoria), and W2 (Paddington) as well as Online/ Video and Telephone therapy sessions, globally. I also provide clinical supervision online.

I hold a Doctoral Degree in Counselling Psychology and Masters Degree in General Psychology. I have nearly two decades of clinical experience in providing talking therapy to diverse client groups, supported by extensive psycho-philosophical training and self-development practice. I have worked effectively with individuals (adults, adolescents, children 4+), couples and families with broad spectrum of psychological need and problems.

In my work I use a range of therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic and Humanistic-Existential therapies, Mindfulness, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other. I work both within short term/ focused and long term/ open-ended frameworks.

Regardless of the chosen approach, I have a strong sense of compassionate commitment to my work and my clients. My aim is to help us develop a meaningful, relational and safe space, where you could gain in-depth understanding of your difficulty 'in context'. We could then help you clarify a sense of direction and obtain the necessary 'skill', courage and resilience to (re-)build your reality in a way that will help you grow, a reality in which you would be able to live with greater confidence, sense of ownership, meaning and purpose.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
