About me

Rather than list all of my skills I thought it might be helpful to show the range of areas where I have worked and then let you decide:

I have worked with people for 42 years.

I started as a psychiatric nurse working with high levels of anxiety and depression.

I moved to become a social worker working predominantly with vulnerable children and families.

Next, I worked as a probation officer dealing with violent and dangerous people and specialising in perpetrators of abuse.

Now for 19 years, I have worked as a Relate trained counsellor both in private practise and within the NHS dealing with individuals, families and children where depression, anxiety and abuse are features.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Registered mental health nurse
  • Qualified social worker
  • Qualified probation officer
  • Postgraduate qualification in relationship therapy with Relate
  • Further Relate qualifications working with families and young people
  • STOPSO qualification to deal with perpetrators of sexual and violent offences
