About me

I am a National Counselling Society accredited and registered psychotherapist. I offer online, telephone and in person psychotherapy and counselling across the UK and beyond. I am lucky to be based in Rural Lancashire (UK).

I am person centered and practice Pluralistic psychotherapy which is a collaborative model of psychological support that begins with the assumption that it is unlikely that there is a “one size fits all” psychotherapeutic or counselling approach that is suitable for all clients and the varied issues and difficulties that they want to resolve.

Pluralistic psychotherapy works on the basis that psychotherapists should be able to use a wide range of different psychotherapy and counselling methods and techniques in order to best meet the needs of a client. This type of therapy is truly personal to your needs and is led by you and decisions and goals are reached together in a collaborative process. I firmly believe that if you are part of your journey to healing then that places the control and power to you which will make it more likely to be long lasting and sustainable and something which you can draw on in the future when experiencing challenges or times of stress.

I would not describe my practice as work as it is most definitely a vocation and one which I am privileged to have. I am passionate about helping people become the best that they can be and making it long lasting for them.

Training, qualifications & experience

Throughout my working life I have had the opportunity to help an immeasurable amount of people both here and abroad in many diverse settings from secure mental health wards, Refuges, Prisons, Mental Health drop in Centres, Learning Disability Services, charities and private companies where I have provided mental health support, suicide prevention, and coaching.

I am a National Counselling Society accredited and registered psychotherapist. I offer online, telephone and in person psychotherapy and counselling across the UK and beyond. I am lucky to be based in Rural Lancashire (UK) but I also am able to visit you in an environment that is convenient for you if that works better.  I have trained additionally as a mentor, a cancer support practitioner, end of life therapy and enjoy working with neurodiversity.

I am fully committed to ensuring therapy is accessible to everyone.

Additional information

I offer a free 20 minutes consultation where we can discuss your needs, see whether I offer the right support and for us to agree next steps.I usually suggest that someone interested in therapy has an initial conversation without charge where we can discuss the challenges that you feel you are facing and how we may work together to help you resolve them. There is time for questions and any concerns you may have.

Due to the current economic climate I offer concessionary fees on a case by case basis, and a sliding fee range depending on your own circumstances. We can discuss this in our initial consultation.

I also offer 3 free sessions weekly for those in need - please do not hesitate to ask for information.

Practicalities such as session times and frequency will also be discussed.

I am available in person and can visit you if transportation is difficult, by video call or telephone.
