About me
Hello!
We are told how important exercise is for our physical well-being, your mental health is no different. Mental health and physical health are interconnected. Stress, anxiety, and depression can manifest as physical symptoms. So, maintaining good mental health can positively influence physical health.
Therapy changes lives and for that reason, if you are unhappy, stressed, and not sure what to do, you need to remember that life is short, and you deserve to live the life you want. Put yourself first and do what makes you happy! I will help you become your own therapist, providing you with healthy tools and support tailored for you.
I help individuals with a wide range of issues, I work with addiction (gambling, porn, spending, internet, drugs, and alcohol). Some people choose to address specific areas (assertiveness, anger, relationship difficulties, career issues, bereavement etc) Also, I provide therapy services tailored to individuals across the neurodiversity spectrum.
In our first session, you'll find a welcoming space to share your challenges. I understand that starting therapy can feel a bit overwhelming, but I'm here to listen, support, and guide you through it. Together, we'll explore the type of therapy that best suits your needs. Confidentiality and a non-judgement approach is an absolute.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a psychology degree and Masters in counselling. I have 20 years of experience and skilled in working in mental health, domestic abuse, addiction, and other areas. I have one goal and that is to improve the quality of life of each and every client.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
