About me

I am an Integrative Counselling Therapist, with 14 years of experience of supporting clients on their life journey, within the charity sector, private practice and the NHS. I am currently working with anyone over 18, giving them the opportunity to explore and talk though their issues and creating the space to heal.

Using an integrative approach, we can work together to decide on the best ways to answer the questions that brought you to therapy. I have a down to earth and collaborative approach where we will create an environment that is unique to your needs. Whatever you bring into our session we can explore in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental way.

I offer a free 30 min initial consultation over the phone. Thereafter, sessions are £40 per 50 minutes. I can offer in-person sessions in Stourbridge or Telephone and Zoom session as appropriate.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

At times life can feel overwhelming, uncertain, confusing and often this can feel like too much to deal with on our own.

I passionately believe that counselling is a positive force for change. And it is important that we give ourselves the space to reflect on life and to be compassionate to ourself, so we can begin to make the changes that we need and desire.

I feel that it is important to understand the root causes of our underlying issues so that we can begin to think about how our conscious and unconscious patterns of behaviour may be limiting us from living the life that we want. Working with me will give you a safe and non-judgemental space to address the obstacles to growth in your life. My role is to listen, to hear and to understand your world, so that we can move forward together, and you can begin to write the next chapter in your story.
