About me

Connecting Authentically And Deeply With Your Emotions

If you are at a time in your life when you are feeling stuck, and you are facing difficulties that are causing you uncertainty, fear and anxiety. It can create a sense of vulnerability and feelings of insecurities. Past experiences or traumas may resurface. Surviving through this can be quite challenging.

As a counsellor & psychotherapist I work with clients by creating a safe space & establishing a warm, trusting environment. Working therapeutically & exploring the needs of my clients, enhances the process, enabling progression into one’s inner world. This provides a depth of insight, healing and growth.

My experience in this profession has enabled me to work with the most vulnerable individuals within the voluntary charity & educational sectors.

My practice of 16 plus years has led me to work in schools, university settings, women centres, bereavement specialist services, charities, relate, working with mental health issues, confidence, self esteem, relationships, attachments, childhood trauma, adult trauma, living losses, grief/bereavement, abuse, domestic violence, PTSD, are some of the issues I work with. In the past I have worked with children, families & groups. I have also mentored & supervised student counsellors, fellow colleagues, provided training & delivered workshops.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
