About us

Coronavirus UPDATE: During the pandemic, we want to extend our helping hand to all of you who NEED support and guidance where you are right now, at your homes. You are not alone! We will be conducting all sessions online to avoid disruption to our services. We're doing our best to ensure that everyone can get access to therapy during these trying times. All of our therapists are trained in offering therapy online and will offer a confidential service via Skype, Zoom, or another video call option.

As skilled practitioners specialising in the renowned Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), we offer compassionate expert guidance towards reconnection, healing and greater life success. EFT helps you to change your painful negative relational patterns of ‘blame-defend’ or 'attack-withdraw' into safe emotional connection and functioning. Our practitioners have years of experience working with couples and families and can help with a range of emotional, relational and sexual issues. We help you, your relationships and your family move towards safe and loving emotional connection from being stuck in destructive conflict patterns of attack-withdraw and blame-defend. We also work with individuals (including children and young people) to help with mental health, sexual and relational issues, addictions and interpersonal trauma. Gulya Diyarova, EFT Clinic director, is medically trained, ICEEFT Award-winning, one of the London’s leading clinicians and educators in Emotionally Focused Therapy.

By seeking therapy you have already taken the first step towards change. Our role is to help guide you in your journey towards a brighter future and to carry hope that things will get better even in times when you may struggle to see the path ahead of you.

If you are interested in therapy at the EFT Clinic, please either give us a call or complete a Contact Us form on our website. We aim to respond to all queries as quickly as possible. We offer a free initial 20-minute consultation over the phone during which you can give us brief details of your situation and ask any questions you may have.

Training, qualifications & experience

Our practitioners are all registered with or accredited by professional organisations such as the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) and Association for Family Therapy (AFT). We all hold at least a master's degree in a psychotherapy or related discipline and have received training in the most evidence-based therapy modality, Emotionally-Focused Therapy. Many of our practitioners are also specialists in other areas such as family therapy, psychosexual therapy, addictions, and discernment counselling (when partners are unsure whether divorce or separation is the right course of action). You can find more details about individual practitioners and their training and expertise on our website.

Member organisations *

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
