About me
Hello and a warm welcome to my profile. I'm Tricia I'm a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor. I have a particular interest in working with clients who are having problems in their relationships. Do you struggle to set boundaries in your relationships? Are you a people pleaser who avoids conflict at all costs? I help clients get to a place where they can start setting boundaries and expressing their needs in an assertive and effective way. I support clients to explore where their difficulties with conflict come from, and how to manage difficult conversations and situations.
I also work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, low mood and low self-esteem. I can share various coping strategies that will help, however, I believe that while strategies can be very helpful, it's also important to explore past events. In order to heal we need to understand the patterns that have been established at an early age, and realise how they are affecting our lives today. I support clients to explore these patterns and to release them, so they can move forward.
I offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you can be heard, accepted and supported as you are.
I am from Spain, so I can offer sessions in Spanish as well as in English.
I realise that asking for help takes courage and choosing the right Counsellor is important. I have been described as having a warm and compassionate approach. When I work with you, always working at your pace, we can gently explore what’s at the root of your issues and find a way forward for you.
I discovered my passion for the area of mental health when I completed my degree in Applied Psychology. I subsequently trained as an Integrative Counsellor by completing an Advanced Diploma in Counselling. I am also an NLP Practitioner, and a Mental Health First Aider. I have worked in the field of mental health for over 25 years. I'm currently completing an Advanced Specialist Diploma in Couples Counselling.
Do get in contact if you want to know more. I offer a free 15-minute telephone or online video consultation for a brief discussion about what you would like support with and to answer any questions you might have. Beginning counselling can feel like a big step and I appreciate it is important for you to feel comfortable about the process.
