About me

I am a UKCP-qualified integrative psychotherapist and work with children, adolescents and adults.  I have over 20 years of experience working in the mental health sector. As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw from a range of different modalities and theories.  My framework includes psychodyamic and humanistic therapies, neuroscientific understanding of attachment and trauma, as well as cognitive elements such as psycho-education.  I enjoy being able to be diverse in the way I work, adapting my approach to each individual and what they might need.  My work with children and young people often involves creative elements of play including sand-tray, image and object making, and movement to help them make sense of their challenges and adversities.  I offer a safe space to allow clients the opportunity to explore presenting issues freely and in-depth. I believe that compassion, empathy and the alliance between the therapist and client are the keys to therapeutic change.

I have experience of working with clients on various issues affecting their well-being, including depression, anxiety, anger, self-esteem, self-harm, developmental trauma, abuse, PTSD, bereavement and loss, relational and lifestyle matters, divorce and separation, family conflict, identity, body dysphoria, neurodiversity, school refusal and exclusion, behavioural problems, fostering and adoption as well as supporting women in their journey through life and parents struggling with the complexities of raising a child in an ever-changing world.

If you are interested in working with me, and would like to know more, please drop me an email or call me.  An initial free-of-charge telephone consultation (30 minutes) is offered.
