About me
We are all deserving of meaningful connection. To heal or overcome emotional distress, a comforting connection can make a difference and build resilience.
There may be times when life just seems too much - we need someone to listen, to really hear us and help to unpick what's happening.
I offer a non-judgemental and confidential environment where we can work together to navigate any of life's challenges.
How I can help:
As an integrative counsellor we have options available to us in how we approach your issue:
1) we can explore past experiences and make links to the distress you are experiencing now
2) we can allow space to process how you are feeling day to day without seeking to 'fix'
3) we can develop practical strategies to cope week to week in a way unique to you
Typically to start we will explore what brings you to counselling. Together we will work towards developing greater self-awareness allowing you to develop the tools to identify any unhelpful patterns and begin to make new ones.
As well as exploring your own strategies and methods, I will share therapeutic resources if you think they might be relevant or helpful. I will support you in regaining control and finding hope.
I work with a range of issues such as: anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, trauma, stress, sleep issues, damaging behavioural patterns - please feel free to get in touch if the nature of your issue isn't listed.
I am available to work with teens and young adults as well as adults.
When I work:
Face to face: Mondays in Brighton and Friday mornings in Horley
Online/Phone: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Current Availability (updated 12.11.24):
Monday (Brighton) Face to Face availability morning and early afternoon
Tuesday - Online availability
Thursday - Online availability
Friday mornings (Horley) Face to Face = waiting list
We can be flexible with online sessions if needed depending on circumstances such as shift work.
We can arrange a set number of sessions or an open-ended approach to allow you to work at a pace that is comfortable for you.
Steps for what to do next:
- Check we have matching availability.
- Book an introductory call through Counselling Directory or email me.
- You don't need to share too much detail, just schedule a free 15 minute phone or video call.
- I will phone you at the scheduled time or send you a Google Meet Video link (you don't need a google account).
- During our call I can share a bit about how we will work together, we can explore what prompted you to seek support and I can answer any questions you might have.
- You decide how to move forwards. We can book our initial session at the end of the call, or not - depending on how you feel.
*If you are contacting on behalf of a young person, it can be helpful for us to have an initial chat, then if you'd like to progress further, we would look to schedule a chat with the child or teen, so they feel included in the process.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
