Client Testimonials

"I have no words to explain how I feel after my therapy with Elena. Suffered from depression for several years and no one was able to tackle it the way this amazing lady did. I have not only been living happier but I have been achieving goals that I couldn’t imagine before. The sessions are worth it! Will definitely recommend. Thank you for everything"

Information for Specialist Counselling

As part of my practice, I offer specialised integration therapy for those with psychedelic experiences. With a broad knowledge and deep interest in this area, I provide a safe space to explore and understand these profound journeys.

The Process of Counselling with Me

1) Contact me via email or through my website. You can share your reasons for seeking counselling or simply indicate your preferred mode (online or face-to-face in London).

2) I will respond promptly with my availability or arrange a call if preferred. I'm happy to answer any questions via email, phone, or a brief Zoom meeting at no charge.

3) We can schedule an initial 50-minute session (£60 for individuals) to explore your needs and see how well we work together.

4) If you decide to continue, we'll agree on a regular slot for our sessions.

What to Expect in the Intro Session

The introductory session is an opportunity for us to meet and understand your counselling needs. We'll discuss what you hope to achieve, and I'll begin to learn about your personal history. It's a chance for you to get to know me and decide if I'm the right therapist for you.

The Type of Therapy I Offer

I utilise a blend of Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, tailored to your unique experience. My aim is to deeply understand your personal experiences and their origins. Through this exploration, we can address patterns and behaviours that affect your life, offering insights and paths for change and growth.

I incorporate art therapy, mindfulness, breath work techniques to help manage difficult emotions and thoughts. Additionally, I work with Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy to help clients connect with deeper emotional layers.

With a strong foundation in person-centred and psychodynamic approaches, I offer a therapeutic experience tailored to your unique story. My expertise extends to integrating art therapy, mindfulness practices, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), ensuring a holistic approach to your mental health.

My experience encompasses working with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual and physical abuse, domestic violence survivors, addiction, and bereavement. Additionally, I have a deep understanding and experience in working with neurodiversity, including ADHD and autism, recognising the unique strengths and needs in this area.

In my practice, every individual's journey is honoured, and I am here to support you with compassion and professional skill every step of the way.

Training, qualifications & experience

My counselling journey is underpinned by a blend of academic qualifications and specialised training. I hold a Foundation Degree in Counselling from Middlesex University and am furthering my expertise with an MSc in Psychology at the University of Roehampton.

I have undertaken additional training in key areas to deepen my practice:
- Practitioner Skills for Eating Disorders (NCFED)
- Understanding Intergenerational Collective Trauma (SFCEFT)
- Bereavement Service Training (Caris Islington)
- Safeguarding Training (Place2be)

These qualifications complement my extensive experience in counselling across various settings. I have worked with NHS patients, female refugees, survivors of abuse, and bereaved clients, offering a range of therapeutic interventions. My experience also includes working with neurodiverse individuals, such as those with ADHD and autism.

In addition to these areas, I offer integration therapy for individuals with previous psychedelic experiences, providing a sensitive and informed approach to help them understand and integrate these profound experiences into their lives.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
