About me

Hi, it can be hard to share your feelings, so I offer a relaxed approach to therapy in a welcoming private safe space in Rotherham or Barnsley. 

Here we can start getting you the best possible outcomes for life's struggles. With the right support and guidance we can start to make your world more manageable, learn new coping skills and build a clearer future.

Whether it's your first time or not, we will go along at your pace and for your duration. Together, we can explore your life dynamics, hopes, and goals - past, present or future, by using different therapy approaches to make long term changes, realisations and all around maintainable improvements.

I aim to make counselling and access to mental health services more affordable.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a integrative therapist who uses the Person-centred counselling approach, with qualifications in CBT, Solution Focussed Therapy, Psychodynamic, Humanistic, and Behavioural Approaches. 

Childs talking therapy available- Assessments and pathways differs for under 16s. Arrangements can be made to hold therapy sessions within child's school.

Couples Therapy available, assessment and pathway differs. Therapy can be held via video call. 

Certified and experienced in Historical Abuse / Trauma.

I'm a previous NHS worker, SEN and nursery practitioner, registered foster carer, Health Advisor. EAP employee.

Fully first aid trained.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
