About me
Choosing a counsellor is a deeply personal decision, and if you are reading this, you have already taken the most important first step. I know that scrolling through profiles, trying to determine who will truly “get” you, can feel overwhelming. You may be asking yourself: Will I be heard? Will I be seen? Is this the right person to support me?
I want you to know that your hesitation is valid, and your search is a brave act of self-advocacy.
A Safe Space, Just for You
My practice is founded on the belief that you deserve a sanctuary free from judgment. Whether you are navigating a recent crisis or carrying the weight of long-term struggles, I am here to offer a confidential, compassionate space where you can share your story at your own pace.
I believe that therapy should be as unique as the individual sitting across from me. Depending on your needs and your comfort level, our sessions can evolve to include:
Talk Therapy: A dedicated space to process your thoughts and emotions.
Creative Expression: If words feel difficult, we can incorporate art-making into our sessions to help express what lies beneath the surface.
Psycho-education: I provide practical tools, knowledge, and skill-building strategies to help you gain a deeper understanding of your experiences and how to manage them.
My Experience, Your Journey
I have the privilege of working with a diverse, worldwide client base. Every person I have worked with has shaped my journey as a counsellor and taught me that while our struggles are unique, our capacity for healing is universal.
My clients have come to me navigating a vast spectrum of human experiences, including:
Depression, anxiety, and stress
Trauma and grief
Loss, miscarriage, and heartbreak
Relationship challenges, divorce, and separation
Family dysfunction
Eating disorders and compulsive behaviours
The lingering impacts of war and displacement
I understand that life’s challenges often overlap, creating a complex knot that feels impossible to unravel on your own. You do not have to untangle it by yourself.
We are all complex beings, but we share one fundamental truth: you have a right to be happy, and you have the right to feel at peace.
I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey toward that clarity.
Training, qualifications & experience
As a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor/Psychotherapist and NLP Practitioner, I believe the journey towards well-being is deeply personal and unique to each individual. My commitment is to provide a safe, supportive, and empowering space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment.
What Makes My Approach Unique?
My approach is rooted in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Drawing on my experience from Studying the B.A. in Human Behavioural Studies and B.A. Hons in Fine Art, coupled with Level 5 Diploma in Person-Centred therapy, NLP Practioner, and other counselling modalities like CBT, I offer a flexible and integrated approach designed to meet your individual needs. This means that we can collaboratively explore:
Person-Centred Therapy: At the heart of my practice is the Person-Centred approach, which emphasizes empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. This creates a therapeutic environment where you feel truly heard, understood, and accepted for who you are.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP): As an NLP Practitioner, I integrate techniques to help you understand and change limiting beliefs and patterns of behavior. This can be particularly beneficial for identifying and achieving personal goals, managing anxiety, and improving communication skills.
Other Counselling Modalities (including CBT): My training in various modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), allows me to draw upon a range of techniques to address specific challenges. This might involve identifying and challenging negative thought patterns, developing coping mechanisms, or addressing unhelpful behaviours.
My Experience:
I have extensive experience working with adults, families, and teenagers, supporting their mental health and well-being. My experience includes helping individuals, couples, and families navigate a wide range of challenges.
Life's complexities can leave us feeling disempowered. My goal is to help you reclaim your agency and find your own path towards healing and growth. Together, we can explore the issues that are impacting your well-being, develop coping strategies, and build a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
If you're ready to take the first step towards a brighter future, I invite you to reach out. Let's explore how I can support you on your journey to well-being.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
