About me

Hello and welcome. I'm Neda. I am here to accompany you in exploring what matters most to you. Are you seeking a deeper understanding of yourself and a desire for greater enjoyment in life? Do you wish to uncover the origins of challenging emotions and feelings such as anxiety, and receive support in addressing them? Are you looking to discover methods for more effective communication and living in your relationships with others? It's common to feel stuck, as if there are no options for progress. However, counselling or psychotherapy within a safe relationship, in a secure environment can facilitate a greater comprehension of our choices and inherent strength.

Integrative Transactional Analysis offers a humanistic approach to understand yourself and others, and to explore your underlying needs.  I will use a trauma-informed approach where all of you is welcome and accepted.

I consider myself a Highly Sensitive Person. After working to understand this, I use this experience to create a welcoming space for clients who require a more tailored environment to feel safe.

I am also of dual nationality, which enriches my practice with the experience of a mixed heritage.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Level 7 (Masters level) postgraduate Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy from the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy.

I have completed a 2 day training course on working with trauma.

I have completed training on working with Autism in the Therapy Room and am Neurodiversity-affirming.

I have 7 years of experience of providing emotional support and a safe space to people to explore difficulties, as a Samaritans volunteer and roles in the charity sector/partnered with the NHS.  I am a trained Mental Health First Aider.

In my previous career I worked in a large pharmaceutical corporation. I bring with me the knowledge and understanding of human biology, and of the dynamics in large organisations and some of the challenges clients can face in various organisational roles.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
