About me

Hello and welcome. I'm Neda. I am here to accompany you in exploring what is important to you and what you would like to understand about yourself and change.

Are you looking for greater enjoyment in life? Do you wish to uncover the origins of challenging emotions, feelings or experiences such as anxiety, anger depression or low self-esteem, and receive support in understanding them? Are you looking to discover ways for more effective communication and greater connection in your relationships with significant others or overcome family issues?

You might feel as though you have run out of options to deal with a difficult situation, or feel stuck repeating the same patterns that lead to the same outcomes. Maybe you feel like you can't experience relief from stressful feelings. Counselling or psychotherapy within a trusted therapeutic relationship, working towards feelings of safety can facilitate a greater understanding of ourselves, of our choices and our inherent strength.

I work in a mutual, relational way, enquiring into your specific experience, knowing that you are the true expert of yourself underneath adaptations you have had to make. I provide a safe, empathic space for you to explore anything that you bring without judgement. All of you will be welcomed and accepted in the approach I take.

Integrative Transactional Analysis offers a humanistic approach to understand yourself and others, and to explore your underlying needs.

I work in a way that incorporates body-based mindfulness and somatic practices to integrate mind and body and acknowledge the inner wisdom your body holds.

I consider myself a Highly Sensitive Person, and use this experience to create a welcoming space for clients who require a more tailored approach.

I am also of dual nationality, which enriches my practice with the experience of a mixed heritage and greater cultural awareness.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have 7 years of experience of providing emotional support and a safe space for people to talk about difficulties, as a Samaritans volunteer and roles in the charity sector/partnered with the NHS.

I have 5 years of experience over the course of training and post-qualification of using and integrative approach, including trauma-informed, cognitive and body-based tools from the Transactional Analysis approach and other models of therapy.

I have a Level 7 (Masters level) postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy from the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy.

I have completed additional training courses on working with trauma.

I have completed training on working with Autism and am Neurodiversity-affirming. I am LGBTQI+ allied.

In my previous career I worked in a large pharmaceutical corporation. I bring with me the knowledge and understanding of human biological processes, and of the dynamics in large organisations and some of the challenges clients can face in various organisational roles.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
