About me
Online Psychotherapy for Adults & Young People – Support for Anxiety & Mental Well-Being
Hi, I’m Kayleigh, a qualified psychotherapist with over 13 years of experience helping adults and young people navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, past experiences, or feeling stuck, therapy provides a space to explore your thoughts and emotions in a way that feels safe and supportive.
Why Psychotherapy?
You might have heard of counselling, but psychotherapy takes things further. Counselling tends to be short-term and focused on specific issues, while psychotherapy helps you explore the root causes of your struggles, allowing for deeper, long-lasting change. My approach is not just about managing symptoms but helping you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and make meaningful changes in your life.
A Bit About Me & How I Work
I have worked in a variety of settings, including drug rehabilitation, children’s services, schools, and supported accommodation, supporting people with anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, trauma, addiction, relationship challenges, and more. I tailor therapy to each individual, integrating different approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychoanalysis, and person-centred therapy to meet your needs.
I offer online therapy sessions, making support accessible from wherever you feel most comfortable. This flexibility also allows me to balance my role as a social care manager in Ofsted-regulated services while continuing to provide therapy for those who need it.
What’s Next?
If you’re looking for support, get in touch for an initial chat to see if I’m the right fit for you. Therapy isn’t about being “fixed” but about understanding yourself, building resilience, and feeling more in control of your own journey.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
