About me

IM HERE FOR YOU!

Hi, I'm Georgina, a fully qualified integrative counsellor.

Are you going through a difficult time?, feeling overwhelmed with daily life? looking after someone but not yourself? feeling sad but don't know why? or yearning to be truly heard? Im here for you!

I will provide you with a warm, friendly, non judgemental environment to help you explore your feelings past and present and help you to reconnect with who you really are, so you can restore balance within your life.

Depression and anxiety can rob you of positive thoughts.  Feelings of stress, panic and worry can often be overwhelming, impacting you both emotionally and physically too.

I am a person centered counsellor and truly believe you have the answers the are right for you.  In our work together I will also use aspects of other psychological approaches such as CBT ( Cognitive Behaviour Therapy ) helping you explore change and unhelpful patterns of behaviour, through to Psychodynamic Psychotherapy which explores your childhood experiences that affect your relationships today.

I have experience in working with many of life's challenges and have worked for many years supporting adults and families in their darkest times such as anxiety, depression, bereavement, domestic abuse, self harm, low self esteem and relationship issues, behaviours and emotional intensity difficulties.

I am able to offer open-ended and/or brief therapies that suits you.

Im here with you...my client to explore any issues that affect your daily life.

                             YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
