About me
Therapy is often a very important element of our lives. We come to it because life has shaped us in a way that leaves us feeling stuck, or behaving against our own sense of choice and values. Afterwards, we wonder why we are doing what we're doing - trying to fight with shame and confusion, believing the worst of ourselves and our futures.
I therefore have a particular interest in working with clients to help them recognise and address their conditioning and trauma. Often, it is the things that we learned or were told along the way that are problematic - about ourselves, about others and the world - about our past, present and future - about our purpose and our identity.
We believe these things are fixed, and often as a result we are led away from our true selves and our true potential. Often, it is these layers of meaning that are in the way of us seeing and being ourselves. Therapy can help us begin to look beneath them, emerge and thrive.
Through training and practice, I have been exploring and experiencing many different modalities. These are important, but never so much as the bond between therapist and client, and the ability for us to courageously both see and be seen.
However, the language and focus we use matter, so I work with you to decide how and where we move through your world. I therefore work integratively and am very transparent in my way of discussing these things with my clients so that you can have full knowledge and control over the therapy.
All change is a journey, so by working with me, you will be given a space where you are free to bring everything you are, in your own way and in your own time.
Together, we can begin to use this shared space to explore and work towards whatever issues or goals you have in your life - knowing that there is a way to move forwards - towards peace and greater unity.
I have particular experience working with people with autism and other neuro-divergence, as well as with the LGBTQ+ community.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have an MSc in Counselling and CBT from the University of Suffolk, England.
However, I began my journey into psychotherapy in 2018, beginning with hypnotherapy training, and then moved to develop counselling skills with Life-Force, in Colchester. I continued to deepen my knowledge and skill in hypnotherapy with the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy, where I learned hypno-CBT (-or Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy). I then continued to train, achieving a masters in Counselling and CBT from the University of Suffolk. Meanwhile, I was in continuous personal therapy, being exposed to other methods and modalities - exploring my own roots and behaviours.
I have therefore explored a lot of therapeutic theories and approaches, and learned to integrate them together more effectively than simply by studying each for a brief period of time in a blended approach. These are only those I studied formally, of course, picking up many more elements of psychotherapy and coaching along the way - through learning and personal experience.
Since I began in 2018, I've been continuously learning, refining and deepening my understanding of the mind and therapeutic treatments with which to support others. Through my own personal counselling journey, and my philosophical and spiritual basis, I have also learned how to connect with and understand people of different beliefs, backgrounds and languages. Growing up bilingual in English and French also helped to relate to the complex systems of language, beliefs and cultures that shape us.
I have throughout my training and practice worked with many clients, taking the time with each to understand them and their story, and to develop a safe and trusting relationship - being serious and thoughtful where necessary, and light and energetic where possible.
Working together with my clients, people from different backgrounds and facing many different challenges, we have found a way to make a difference - to breathe new life and possibility into their story and into their internal system.
If you feel that you could benefit from talking with me, need help, or would simply like to know more about therapy, don't hesitate to get in touch!
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
