Tranam Suleman MBACP, Anxiety/Trauma informed Psychotherapy Adults & Children
I am a trauma informed humanistic integrative psychotherapist, with over 10 years experience working with children and adults.
I have been fortunate enough to have a large scope of practise, that has spanned over several years from; university counsellor, working with refugees, medical insurance and NHS settings.
I work with a broad range of presenting problems including suicidal ideation, self harm, depression, anxiety, single incident trauma, childhood trauma, stress, relationship issues, low self worth, grief, problematic relationship patterns, attachment, loss of self, body image concerns, sexual trauma and complex trauma.
My training and my approach is rooted in evidence based practices, from neuroscience to somatic practices, as-well as being culturally affirming and solution- focused. While I may draw upon a wide range of techniques in my practise, my work with you will be highly individualised and focused on your specific concerns.
My primary aim is to empower my clients. Another integral part of work is to create a safe and confidential settings where clients can be true to themselves.
The result of my passion and love for the work I do has allowed me to work at relational depth with my clients. Paving way for me to be as present as possible to experience, explore the clients internal world with openness, curiosity to each persons unique experience.
My clients describe me as warm, empathic attentive and astute in my approach to understanding problems and collaboratively exploring solutions . I am regularly told my way of working is very effective . I have helped many clients make sense of their distress in a couple of sessions, sometimes it takes a little longer.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
