About me
Hi, I am Tracie, an experienced Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor.
I am passionate about offering people a safe space to work through difficulties that they are having and to be able to share their experiences, thoughts and feelings without being judged. I am down to earth, culturally sensitive and committed to anti-oppressive practice. I am affirming of, and experienced in working with members of the LBGTQIA+/GSRD community.
Therapy sessions are a time for you and your needs and I will support you to find your way to make the sessions work for you. I am experienced in working with people struggling with anxiety, Neurodivergence including ADHD and Autism including those questioning/awaiting assessment.
There may be changes you want to make in your life, difficulties that you want to overcome, past experiences that have a significant impact on your life today. We will work together at a pace that suits you, that could be in face to face sessions in Medway in a purpose built counselling room, or online via an online virtual meeting. I support you to explore your unique experience and what that means to you.
Research shows that regardless of approach it is the relationship that is developed that influences the outcome. The therapeutic relationship is a unique co-created experience. Some people do have a preference regarding the therapeutic model they are looking for - I have an Integrative approach including Person Centred Theory, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and Attachment Theory. As a Supervisor I am able to work with all approaches.
Sometimes people can find it difficult to fully express themselves and I can offer creative ways of working using things such as pictures, art materials, writing, sand tray. However we work it will be your choice, therapy isn't 'done to you'.
I offer the option to have a free no obligation 20 minute introduction where you can ask questions and give me brief details of what it is you would like help with, and what sort of help you are looking for. This can be a great way to help you overcome initial fears and decide if we are a good fit.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
