About me

I am an experienced and compassionate Chartered Clinical Psychologist based in  Derbyshire. It is important for me to offer a non-judgmental way of working with clients and I endeavor to offer a safe space in therapy in which all topics and emotions are welcome.

I am registered with many of the main health insurance providers.

As a Clinical Psychologist, I am able to offer a variety of different psychological approaches to provide an individually tailored approach to therapy. I offer various  therapies includng Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, CBT; Dialectical Behavior Therapy, DBT skills , Schema Focused Therapy, Compassion Therapy, Mindfulness, EMDR. I offer both short and long-term therapy.

I have a therapy room in Crich for those wanting to access traditional talk based therapies. I also offer appointments outside near Crich for those wanting to connect with nature and for those who find it easier to communicate in different ways. These appointments include walk and talk therapy and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (therapy with horses).

I have a keen interest in working with those who have experienced traumatic life events (such as abuse, bereavement & loss, health related issues). I often work with people who are experiencing relationship problems (including issues relating to identity, conflict and sexual difficulties), emotional difficulties and mood problems (such as anxiety, depression and issues relating to anger) and those who have developed problematic coping patterns (such as self-harming, addictive behaviours eg drugs / alcohol / sexual behaviours / pornography / eating / gambling).

I offer Psycho-sexual therapy for those (individuals, couples, poly relationships) experiencing sexual concerns (e.g. intimacy issues, problems with arousal, erectile problems, orgasm difficulties, pain, addictive issues, problems following trauma) and those wanting to explore their sexual identity / interests within therapy. I am a member of COSRT (the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists).
