About me

I offer confidential face-to-face and online psychotherapy from my welcoming rooms in Bethnal Green, East London.

I aim to help you understand your emotions and behaviours using a psychodynamic approach. Together, we can explore anything that may be troubling you.

People come to see me for many different reasons - including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship or family issues, addictive or compulsive behaviour, loneliness, or low self-esteem. Sometimes, people need to make sense of a particular event or crisis, such as loss or bereavement, but often, what brings people to therapy is feeling stuck in life or relationships. Therapy is a place to explore how you are feeling and relating. It can be challenging to make sense of our feelings alone. I am here to support you through whatever challenges you may be facing. Together, we can work towards change.

I understand that seeking therapy can feel overwhelming, and finding a therapist who feels the right fit is important. My priority is creating a warm, nonjudgmental, and confidential space where you can freely express what’s on your mind.

If you would like to contact me, please send me an email or call me and leave me a message, and I will respond to you promptly. We can then arrange a first session. During the first session/s, you will get a feel for how I work, and you can ask any questions about therapy. You will have time to fully explain what has brought you to therapy and what you are hoping for from therapy. The session will last for the usual 50 minutes. You can then decide if you would like to proceed with therapy, and if you do, I will explain my therapeutic framework and the Ethical Code I abide by.

Sessions take place once weekly and at a regular time, and I offer both once-weekly open-ended and fixed-term therapy. Together, we can decide which feels right for you.

Please get in touch if you have any questions or would like to arrange a first meeting.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BPC
British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)

The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.

BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
