About me
I am a chartered clinical psychologist with a warm, flexible and open approach. I have 20 years experience working with people in varying degrees of psychological distress and am passionate about integrating new approaches into practice to improve mental healthcare. Using a range of psychological skills, I work with problems such as stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, family and relationship difficulties, bereavement, OCD and phobias. I offer a safe, confidential space to talk through your feelings and experiences without the risk of judgement. Depending on what you're looking for, I can offer short-term focussed treatment to get you back on track or longer-term therapy to help you change long-standing problems and bring you closer to the way you want to be living your life.
My rooms are in Central Wimbledon and I also offer sessions remotely via zoom.
Training, qualifications & experience
BSc, MSc, DClinPsy
As a chartered clinical psychologist, I am trained to use cognitive behavioural, psychodynamic and systemic (couple and family) therapies. I tend to integrate these to suit client need, working at your pace.
I have additional training in acceptance and commitment therapy, EMDR and family interventions. I have also completed a diploma in open dialogue; which is a person-centred, relational approach to treating people experiencing psychosis. Additionally, I have completed training in working with people with trauma, personality disorders, dissociative disorders, eating disorders and body dysmorphic disorder.
Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
