About me

Having a lived experience of my own, led me to search for support when I needed it most, much the same way you are doing now, by reading my profile. My journey, still on going, has moved me to help others understand their emotional wellbeing and life course. Mental Health is a complex aspect of human well-being, highly individualised, and multifaceted. Influenced by a range of factors; genetics, environment, personal experiences, relationships, social support, and personal lifestyle choices, needs vary from person to person, and what will work for one person, will not always work for another.

Being an Integrative Psychotherapist, my philosophy is to balance theoretical models of psychotherapy with an empathetic and accepting therapeutic relationship.

Together we will empower your sense of self to experience the world you live in, and your place in it. Offering a supportive environment within which you will be heard and emotionally held, we will discover together preventative and restorative ways to reach your goals.  Through methods such as sand tray, clay, use of miniatures and art, in addition to the ‘talking cure’ an integrative approach that offers a personalised plan.

Offering short term counselling to provide symptom relief and reduction, or longer term therapeutic treatment to develop alternative perspectives into relationship patterns, maladaptive behaviours, or emotional discomfort. Along with support to navigate the psychological adjustments required for significant life changes such as, long term health conditions, retirement, menopause, relational breakdowns, empty nest syndrome, or grief, loss, or end of life preparation.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.
