About me
I am a fully qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and psychotherapist, specialising in the psychodynamic approach. I am passionate about the transformative power of therapy, and our capacity to heal from adversity. Life can feel a struggle but, you needn’t face this alone.
I work from modern, comfortable rooms in Brighton and Hastings as well as offering online sessions via Zoom.
I believe that we are all influenced by our experiences and relationships in the past, as well as those we have in the present, and most importantly the relationship we have with ourselves.
Past relationships and experiences can impact the way we manage stress and cope with difficulties, it also can impact the way we respond to others and our own self-esteem.
My therapeutic approach is to help people think about, and recognise emotions, thoughts, early-life experiences, and beliefs and use these to recognise patterns and work through any difficulties they may be experiencing. Helping you explore and process, manage difficulties and move towards fulfilment and self-acceptance.
I offer a safe, non-judgmental and empathetic therapeutic relationship, in which you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences and untangle those difficult feelings and help you move forward.
I have 20 years of experience working in therapeutic roles within the NHS, The Local Authority and Psychology Teams, working with those who experienced trauma, domestic abuse, narcissistic abuse, depression, anxiety, and neurodiversity. My experience has taught me that people are unique, and there is no "one size fits all" therapeutic approach, I aim to work with your nuances to provide tailored and holistic support that really fosters growth.
If you are in emotional pain, experiencing anxiety or feeling lost, empty or burnt out, it can be an isolating and lonely experience. I understand that reaching out for help takes a huge amount of courage and is often something we feel ambivalent about, I offer a free of charge, no obligation 20-minute confidential chat if you would like to discuss the process or ask any questions.
If you decide to access therapy with me, we can go on to arrange weekly sessions at an agreed time.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
