About me
Are you feeling stuck in painful patterns? whether it’s anxiety, depression, anger, addiction, or relationships that leave you feeling drained? Do you struggle with work stress, low self-worth, or overwhelming emotions? If so, unresolved trauma may be playing a role.
Imagine feeling lighter, more at ease, and connected to who you truly are. Therapy with me can help you understand how past experiences shape your present and give you the tools to break free from emotional pain. Together, we’ll explore what’s been holding you back, so you can regain control, heal, and build the life you want.
I specialise in working with people who have experienced trauma, abuse (in childhood or adulthood), and difficult relationships, including narcissistic abuse. I understand how deep these wounds can go, and I see the whole person in front of me, not just a diagnosis or set of symptoms. My approach is rooted in respect, curiosity, and an unwavering belief in your ability to heal.
What therapy with me is like:
- A safe, confidential space where you’ll feel heard and understood
- A focus on getting to the root of your struggles, not just managing symptoms
- Practical tools and insights that help you move forward in daily life
- A supportive, non-judgmental relationship where real change can happen.
“Therapy with Kelly has been life-changing. The pain I was holding for so long feels released, and I feel like I can breathe again. I understand myself so much better and feel in control of my emotions. She gets trauma in a way others never have.” Anonymous Client
I am a fully qualified, BACP-registered psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience in the NHS, East Sussex Children’s Services, Refuge, and Psychology Teams. I’ve worked extensively with trauma, domestic abuse, depression, anxiety, and neurodiversity. My approach is psychodynamic, an evidence-based method that uncovers the unconscious patterns shaping your emotions and behaviours. I also integrate holistic practices such as movement, meditation, mindfulness, and journaling to support your healing.
I offer sessions in person in Brighton, Hove, and Hastings, as well as online via Zoom.
Next Steps
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re curious about working together, I offer a free, no-obligation 20-minute consultation where you can ask questions and see if we’re a good fit.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
