About me
Hannah Green | BACP-Registered Integrative Counsellor
North West England
You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure why certain patterns keep repeating in your life. Perhaps you’re coping on the outside, but inside feel anxious, self-critical, or disconnected. Counselling can offer a space to slow down, make sense of what’s going on, and feel less alone with it.
I’m Hannah Green, a BACP-registered Integrative Counsellor, with several years’ experience supporting young people (11+) and adults with a wide range of emotional and mental health difficulties.
At the heart of my work is the person-centred approach. This means our sessions are led by you — moving at your pace and shaped around what feels most important. I aim to offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you feel safe to speak openly and feel truly heard.
Alongside this, I integrate a range of therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs. Together, we can gently explore past and present experiences, emotional responses, and patterns in how you relate to yourself and others — helping you develop greater self-awareness, understanding, and choice.
I believe strongly in each person’s capacity for growth and change. With the right support, it’s possible to reconnect with your inner strengths, develop self-compassion, and find ways of moving forward that feel more aligned and sustainable. I’ll work alongside you with care, consistency, and respect, supporting you to explore whatever feels important for you.
You’re also welcome to take a look at my Instagram to get a sense of who I am and how I work as a therapist.(link on the page)
I offer short-term, long-term, and open-ended counselling. Sessions are available online via Zoom, Google Meet, or by phone.
Feel free to get in touch—I'd be honoured to support you on your journey.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Client feedback-
‘I've been seeing Hannah for about a year now, and I can honestly say I have had a truly positive experience. She's very kind, calm and a great listener. I feel heard and understood during our sessions - I definitely think I have gained a better understanding of my feelings and navigating them during our time together.I always feel much lighter after our sessions, and Hannah's supportive approach makes it really easy to open up.I appreciate the flexibility in booking in our sessions and for personal therapy I think Hannah's price point is very accessible.I'd highly recommend Hannah to anyone thinking about starting therapy.’
‘I have had counselling sessions with Hannah on two occasions now, with the first in 2024 and the second this year (2025).In both instances, Hannah has been excellent, and we've built a really nice rapport that's made it easy for me to open up and talk about how I'm feeling. This enables me to get to the root of my concerns before we discuss what I can put in place to help me address and overcome these obstacles.Hannah challenges me to understand how I feel while remaining consistently positive and supportive. The sessions have been a massive help to me, and I will definitely contact Hannah again should I need to. Thanks for all of your help, Hannah!’
“I love talking to Hannah! We have a great rapport, and I feel like she always meets me where I'm comfortable. I didn't have much of an experience with therapy, and she really helped me ease into the process.”
“Hannah is a blessing! Since three months in therapy with her, I have observed improvement in the clarity of my perspectives. Thoughtful and a good listener, she is very effective at pointing out the positives and challenging my negative thoughts, going down to the root cause of problems and showing a different perspective to view things from, which is more practical and robust. Furthermore, I also get feedback about my personality and behaviour, all in a safe and comfortable space”
“Hannah is extremely supportive, and creates an open safe space. She’s always very respectful and is great at shining a light on a different perspective / way of thinking, while helping me understand my own needs - in turn building confidence and self navigation. Thanks Hannah for your help.”
