About me
My name is Hannah Green and I am a Fully-Qualified BACP Person Centred Counsellor, based in the North West of England.
I have several years experience, working with adults, teenagers and young people; supporting them through a range of issues (such as anxiety, depression, abuse, bereavement and trauma).
I specialise in Person Centred counselling, which is at the core of my practice. This means, that all the sessions are led by you and will move at a pace you feel comfortable with. I also integrate a variety of additional theoretical-models, approaches and techniques to suit the individual.
During our sessions, we will explore past and present behaviours, possible triggers, events, thought-patterns, reactions and feelings; to find new ways of moving forward. With an emphasis on working towards honest self-exploration.
I will be there with you every step of the way, offering a non-judgmental safe-space for you to share, explore and work through your feelings.
I believe that the person-centred approach provides the best opportunity for healing; empowering you to become a more self-aware, understanding and healthy individual.
I also believe that my clients have the ability to make changes for themselves and with the right support, we can work together to help you achieve personal growth and fulfilment.
Choosing the right therapist is incredibly important. As such, I offer a free 15 minute consultation, in which you can decide if I am the right therapist for you. I can then provide short-term, long term and open-ended counselling.
I work with clients online via Zoom or Phone.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Client feedback-
“I love talking to Hannah! We have a great rapport, and I feel like she always meets me where I'm comfortable. I didn't have much of an experience with therapy, and she really helped me ease into the process.”
“Hannah is a blessing! Since three months in therapy with her, I have observed improvement in the clarity of my perspectives. Thoughtful and a good listener, she is very effective at pointing out the positives and challenging my negative thoughts, going down to the root cause of problems and showing a different perspective to view things from, which is more practical and robust. Furthermore, I also get feedback about my personality and behaviour, all in a safe and comfortable space”
“Hannah is extremely supportive, and creates an open safe space. She’s always very respectful and is great at shining a light on a different perspective / way of thinking, while helping me understand my own needs - in turn building confidence and self navigation. Thanks Hannah for your help.”
