About me

Let's get to the point shall we?!

I'm a Psychotherapist /Counsellor /Coach who loves her work. I was initially trained in the Person-Centred Theory (qualified in 2015) and subsequently have sought many other theories and interventions in order to be an integrative/holistic provider. Since qualifying, I have been working as a 'Health & Wellbeing' Coach for a major housing association in Sheffield. Working as both Counsellor and Coach, means I strive to deliver a service that is catered to you and what you need at this juncture.

I feel it's important for you to know a bit about me, in order for you to feel more comfortable about this process: I'm Northern Irish, African and Omani, coming from a mixed-raced, mixed-religion, mixed-culture background, as well as being neurodivergent (late-diagnosed ADHD) has given me a unique outlook and open-minded approach to life, as well as being able to understand 'difference' and diversity wholeheartedly. You will find me supportive, reassuring, friendly, approachable, empathic, dynamic, attentive and easy to talk to. My approach is more casual than formal, yet professional - I believe this approach yields the best from the therapeutic space, as I aim to make you feel comfortable quickly in a situation that may feel daunting.

Bespoke workshops/training for Organisations: I design and deliver training both internally and externally to the organisation I am employed by. I can offer bespoke training, working closely with you in order to cater to the demands of your organisation to deliver a multitude of exciting topics, delivered in an interactive and interesting way. Contact me to hear more.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
