About me

Most of us, if not all, experience personal difficulties at some stage in our lives. It is quite normal to struggle with such issues, and to need some help with these.
I work with individuals, couples who have experienced betrayal, cheating and emotional affairs. Partners porn use, web cams, swinging, sugar daddies, dominatrix, only fans or cheating with other women or men. Husbands or partners caught cheating or using internet sites like fab swingers for hook ups.

I am experienced working with gay, trans, and bi-sexual clients who are experiencing sexual difficulties or finding it hard to enter a relationship or stay faithful.

Over the last 2 years I have completed 2000 client sessions mostly dealing with the above issues. This is a niche area, I’ve had success helping couples or individuals repair their relationships, find love again and quit the negative effects of their compulsions.

Having successfully worked with people pleasing, codependency, childhood sexual abuse, grief, bereavement, relationship breakdowns, conflict avoidants, family systems, betrayal, anxiety, depression, anger issues, boundaries setting, alcohol addiction, drug addiction, gambling, sex and porn compulsion. Low self-esteem, narcissism, domestic abuse and victims of bullying.

Counselling practice is based in Runcorn, Cheshire @ the Heath Business Park, I also see clients online and by telephone. I work with clients presenting personal problems, preferring not to specialise in any issue, I maintain regular clinical supervision to ensure I continue to work effectively, safely and ethically.
I am fully trained as an Integrative Counsellor, Sex/Porn Compulsion Therapist and Meditation Teacher. Some of the modalities I draw upon are Person-centred counselling, psychodynamics, REBT, CBT and Gestalt.

I support men, and women with sex compulsions, open relationships, and betrayal.  Age groups 18 and over, religious cultures, Men struggling to quit the negative effects of pornography. I also work with gay and trans clients individually, Muslim clients I support who have difficulties with porn and sexual compulsions and marriage betrayal.

Offering short-term therapy or long-term therapy. Currently working with co-dependency, grief, addiction, anxiety, depression, alcohol, cocaine addiction, sex compulsion, porn compulsion, infidelity, anger/rage, people pleasing, sexual abuse, emotional childhood neglect, trauma, and dissociation. Experienced working with client’s attachment styles. Dismissive avoidance, fearful avoidant, and anxious attachment styles.

I blend different modalities in a pluralistic way. One size doesn't fit all, depending on the difficulty or issues you are having. I draw upon these to work with what’s best to suit your needs.

What can you expect from me?

A professional empathic understanding with a non-judgemental approach. Space to be fully heard, understood, and supported. I work ethically and safely to maintain boundaries at all times; confidentiality is always maintained. I am fully committed to providing a safe space for you to feel seen and valued.
Disabled access is available to the therapy room for counselling 1-2-1 in person. Based on the ground floor with wide access doors and wide corridors for wheelchairs.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
