About me

If you are experiencing difficulties within a relationship, whether it be romantic, parent, friend, colleague, teacher, child, or indeed with yourself, I invite you to contact me for a free chat to discuss how counselling with me can support you, or your child.

I support adults, young people and children aged 13+ face to face in Chichester, West Sussex and online for UK residents.

For parents who are seeking counselling for their child, I can support your child to work through and understand emotions and build on their self-esteem, for example through a divorce or separation or school issue.

We can work together to explore your situation and how it is impacting your life. I can support you to understand your emotions, tell your story, unravel confusion, reconnect with yourself, and rebuild your self-esteem and confidence.

You may feel stuck, be having sleepless nights and increased anxiety or panic attacks with worries or concerns about the situation. I understand that this can affect many everyday activities. You might have other symptoms such as stomach aches, headaches, be avoiding activities, people or places. In counselling with me, I listen without judgement, and will work at your pace, to make sense of it all.

If you have been told you are ‘too sensitive’, ‘too much’ or felt that people misunderstand or invalidate you, within significant relationships, you may feel less confident and more unsure of what to do. You might have been holding onto a lot of hurt for a long time and even be feeling it is your fault for having strong feelings or reactions.

In person-centred counselling, I value your individual experience and that your feelings are real, valid, and important.

I can help you to find your voice. We can work out together, your own ways and new ways to move forward that is healthy for you, in your relationships and to have hope for a brighter future.

If you have experienced relationship issues, bullying, abuse, and traumas, past or present, you are welcome to email me for an appointment time or visit my website to connect to my booking calendar and book a free phone or video consultation.

Counselling with me:

I can help you to make sense of your situation. We can work together to build a space where you feel safe and grounded, and able to explore your experiences. I aim to support you to build your self-esteem, reduce anxiety and to trust yourself to express your voice and grow new wings.

As a Humanistic, person-centred counsellor, I support your individual needs toward growth and change. I aim to empower you to find your own answers toward self-understanding and change. This can be either as short-term counselling or longer-term psychotherapy. You may feel confused and uncertain about who you are or who you want to be in the world or that you are seeking more meaningful connections in your relationships.  I also offer tools alongside talking therapy such as creative therapies for all ages and walk and talk therapy for adults, in collaboration with you.

Creative Therapies:

When words are not enough,  I offer creative tools to help with exploring and expressing thoughts and feelings that are hard to access. I use sand tray therapy, paint, clay, pens, collage, music, games and meditation and more. These are supportive tools to express feelings through images and symbols. We can work together to find a way that suits your preferred learning and expressive styles.

These tools can assist change in short-term counselling or help to explore at more depth for longer term psychotherapy. I also work with body awareness, emotional self-regulation, and co-regulation tools to understand your unique responses to your environments and ways to work with your nervous system. Connecting to the natural environment during a walk and talk therapy session offers another approach to accessing your inner experiences.

If you feel that a relationship issue is causing you stress and anxiety, is affecting your everyday life, impacting your work or education, and are looking for someone to share your thoughts and feelings with, in a trusting and safe environment, I warmly invite you to contact me.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
