About me

Hello, my name is Aisha. I hold a master's degree in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology and a BSc (Hons) in Counselling from the University of East London. I am a qualified integrative Counsellor and am pleased to offer my services to clients aged 14 and upwards.

In addition, I am a specialist mentor to university students. My expertise includes developing coping strategies for stress, mental health, and learning difficulties. Throughout my career, I have worked with clients from various backgrounds in family support, mentoring, immigration casework, managerial positions, and key work.

We are sometimes told to get on with things or stop worrying, even when overwhelmed. However, it is important to know that you are not alone. Talking Souls listens with empathy and reassures you that it is okay not to be okay. Life can be challenging; we are here to provide a nonjudgmental, safe space for you to explore your feelings and thoughts.

Life's challenges can have a profound effect on our mental health. Past traumas like losing a loved one, financial struggles, and relationship breakdowns can be difficult to cope with. Work-related stress, physical and psychological health problems, and cultural differences can also contribute to anxiety and isolation. Dealing with complex emotions such as depression, loneliness, suicidal thoughts, hearing voices, and gender identity issues can be challenging. However, it is important to remember that help is always available, and you are not alone.

Talking Souls provides compassionate and confidential listening customised to your unique needs. Our approach fosters self-awareness and positive transformations.

You are valuable and important to us.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
