About me

I’m a neurodivergent therapist who works with neurodivergent clients who want to understand themselves more deeply and live more authentically.

You might feel like you’ve spent years masking who you are, struggling to feel truly understood, or questioning why relationships and life feel harder than they “should.”

Perhaps you feel disconnected from others, unsure of yourself, or like there isn’t space to be the real you.

I work online and in person in Swansea to help you understand your behaviour patterns and thought processes that are holding you back. You can change thinking and behaviour patterns that may have helped you cope in the past, but now feel limiting or exhausting.

I often work with those impacted by trauma from family, romantic or working relationships.  This can include abusive parents, bosses, or partners, the impact of which may leave you doubting yourself, blaming yourself or being unsure of your own confidence in your judgements and opinions.

Many of my clients are autistic, ADHD, or AuDHD — including those who are self-diagnosed or questioning.

I work in a neurodivergent-affirming way, which means the goal is not to “fix” you, rather to bring change in your life as we make sense of your experiences in a way that understands how your mind works — which may include masking, burnout, sensory needs, and how you communicate with others.

I always strive to be aware of how people from discriminated or marginalised groups can be impacted by societal expectations, bias, and unequal power dynamics.  I work with openness and curiosity to understand your lived experience and aim to be aware of both privilege and discrimination

Your journey may include working through anxiety, depression, or compulsive behaviours which may be masking what is going on beneath. You may find yourself in unsatisfying relationships, and not know why you are end up in them.

Compulsive behaviours may include obsessive thoughts, habitual use of pornography, or over thinking everything

How can therapy help?

When we work together to understand the authentic you underneath, this gives you the confidence in yourself to achieve what you want and make long lasting changes to thought and behaviour patterns.

My passion is in working with people to understand themselves, make the changes they want in their lives, and achieve their goals.  It's not a simple task, and often involves being with difficult and painful memories and truths, but the results at the other side make it worthwhile

We can get you reconnected with your feelings which may be buried beneath anxiety, depression, a general sense of detachment from life, or unhealthy behaviours.  Change is possible if you are willing to walk the path of self understanding and I am here to walk with you

If this resonates with you, you’re very welcome to get in touch for an initial chat. You don’t need to be sure — we can figure that out together.

What will therapy be like?

Therapy with me is collaborative, reflective, and paced around you.

You don’t need to have everything figured out — we can start wherever you are, even if things feel messy or unclear.

Many clients tell me this is the first place they’ve felt truly understood without needing to mask or explain themselves.

Neurodivergence

I work keeping neurodivergence in mind, as many of my clients are autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, and neurodivergent in other ways.  This includes those who are formally diagnosed, self diagnosed, or those who are questioning

GSRD

I offer an LGBTQIA+ affirming space. I bring both lived experience and ongoing learning, and I approach each person with openness and curiosity about their unique identity and experience.

I work with asexuality, relationship diversity, and people exploring identity — including those who are questioning or figuring things out.

What Clients Say

Clients have fed back to me that I am grounding, empathic, reflective and able to hold deep emotional work with warmth and kindness.  They often tell me they felt understood for the first time

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Diploma in Transactional Analysis Counselling

I undertake regular supervision to ensure the quality of my work, and I believe in continuing professional development as there are always deeper and richer paths of understanding waiting to be discovered ahead of us

I work part time with a local domestic abuse charity.  Domestic abuse can happen to anyone, and can occur in romantic relationships or between family members.  It may be physical abuse or sexual abuse, and and can also be psychological abuse such as coercive control, gaslighting and abuse through financial control.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
