---

Hello, I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist and group therapist with a private practice in Marylebone, Central London.

I can help you with anxiety; feelings leading to depression; low self-esteem and low confidence; a wide range of relational issues, including family ones; and the impact on you now of past trauma.

Together we can explore what is worrying you or causing you pain, by exploring what is going now, and your family story and childhood. I think that perhaps things can start to feel easier to cope with when we feel supported to talk about why they feel so weighty.

I offer morning, daytime and evening sessions for individual therapy.  I also offer a 4pm slot most days for a 15-minute call.

Fertility

As well as wide-ranging general psychotherapy, I specialise in fertility therapy, in particular the impact of trauma in childhood.  I support people (women in particular) to work through the emotional impact of medically unexplained infertility, assisted conception (IVF) and reproductive trauma (miscarriage, termination etc.)

Therapy Groups

In addition to my individual work, I run therapy groups. This is my way of offering psychotherapy in a supportive community, and making it more affordable. We explore deeply together the personal and relational impact of difficult and isolating issues.  It feels to me as though a lot of people are struggling with feelings of loneliness and "what's the point" since the Pandemic.

I run therapy groups for women for fertility-related issues, and a general group for men and women.

Psychotherapy with Holistic Practitioners

I am the co-founder of RSF Therapy where we focus on relationships, sex and fertility. As psychotherapists we work in a team with holistic practitioners, because we all believe that a focus on mind, body (and spirit) together accelerates healing. We refer to each other and we offer integrated programmes.

For an initial 15-minute conversation, please feel free to get in touch, via the Counselling Directory or via email.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist, and I trained with the Institute of Group Analysis in London as a small group therapist.

I started my therapy career as as a group therapist, conducting groups for young people, people coming to terms with traumatic childhoods, and people with anxiety & depression, mainly in the NHS, and also for a large psychotherapy practice.

My first career was in executive management in the NHS in London, and after this I set up a practice to do psychologically-minded work in organisations.  I mainly ran work-place groups and programmes for charities, and also private health care, and I supported people and teams emotionally through difficult organisational change.

I am from London and I live and work here: I understand the complexities of making a life in this busy city. I also understand the ups and downs of being human!  I hope that as a result of therapy, you might feel more resilient, make more sense of what is upsetting your peace, and cope with difficulties more healthily.

I now work privately, running groups and seeing individual clients, and my practice is called RSF Therapy.  I believe that one of the keys to healing in therapy is a consistent, reliable and empathic relationship, and that is always my focus.

Do feel free to get in touch for a conversation to help you decide whether you'd like me as your therapist.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BPC
British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)

The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.

BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Fertility

I have a specialist interest in infertility:

Medically Unexplained Infertility - I offer a therapy group for women who have experienced childhood trauma

Donor Conception: I support women and couples considering creating a family with donor sperm, donor eggs and donor embryos. I offer psychotherapy to clients seeking extra support after fertility counselling in their fertility clinic.

Reproductive Trauma: I offer a therapy group for women who have had an abortion, recently or in the past; and my practice runs a 9-week programme for women coping with miscarriage.

Holistic Practitioners & Sex Therapy

I work with a yoga therapist, massage therapist, naturopathic nutritionist and acupuncture therapist. These colleagues support my psychotherapy clients with fertility difficulties and working through trauma.

I also work with a psychosexual therapist who can support my clients with intimacy issues.
