About me

One Life Counselling and Psychotherapy is a counselling service based in Biggin Hill, Kent, United Kingdom, offering counselling support in person, or online or telephone and provide support for someone experiencing Anxiety, depression, abuse, addiction or emotional or relationship difficulty.

I sincerely feel that its not always easy finding a therapist that fits your needs and understand its difficult trying to find the right therapist for you so I’m more than happy to have a quick chat or alternatively I can offer you a free no obligation 30-minute consultation either on a video call or over the telephone. Following this, If I’m not the therapist for your need’s I will help you find the right therapist and will be more than happy to make a referral.

My counselling focuses on prevention, intervention and recovery related to, Anxiety, Depression, Abuse, Anger Management, Trauma, Panic Attacks, Relationships and addiction and have much counselling experience relating to bereavement and loss, for example loss of a loved one or loss of a job or loss of family pets.

As a person-centred counsellor, I bring all aspects of my personality into my work ensuring my clients feel comfortable and safe enough to share their life experiences during our confidential sessions.  Within my Person Centred approach I also draw upon different theoretical approaches rather than using just one approach as have found this provides flexibility and freedom that enhances the therapeutic experience for my clients.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
