About me

I am an experienced and empathetic counsellor committed to guiding adults through life's complexities with compassion and understanding. With over a decade of dedicated practice in mental health, I specialize in providing therapy tailored to the needs of adults navigating diverse challenges.

My approach is deeply rooted in person-centred care, emphasizing a non-judgmental atmosphere where clients feel valued and supported. Drawing from my extensive background, I recognize the significance of fostering genuine connections and believe in the potential for profound personal growth.

My services cover a broad spectrum of issues commonly faced by adults, including relationship struggles, work-related stress, bereavement, trauma, depression, anxiety, and more. I acknowledge the uniqueness of each individual's journey and offer a safe space for exploration and healing, free from imposed timelines or expectations.

Having personally traversed multiple bereavements, I intimately understand the importance of empathy, safety, and support in overcoming life's adversities. My tenure at the Oldham Bereavement Centre, specializing in loss and grief, has further enriched my skills in fostering resilience and facilitating transformative growth.

My qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood, complemented by Level 3 and Level 5 certifications in Counselling and Therapeutic Counselling, respectively. Additionally, I bring a wealth of experience in assisting individuals with learning disabilities and autism, spanning from childhood through adulthood.

If you're an adult seeking guidance through life's challenges, I'm here to offer you the expertise and support you deserve on your journey towards healing and self-discovery.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
