About me

Hi, I’m Jenny, but you can call me Jenn.

It’s natural to be curious about your therapist, you’re trusting them with your most precious thoughts, feelings and experiences. I should know, I had a lot of questions about my therapist when I started personal therapy too.

I believe my extensive experience of personal therapy is paramount in my client work. After all, how can I ask you to trust me to accompany you to those places within, if I’ve never been to my own.

I have lived a colourful life (and I’m not just talking about my hair - which changes colour frequently), which provides me with rich experiences to draw on when working with you. There is nothing you cannot say to me.

I work with adults over 16 in and around South Cambridgeshire and North Hertfordshire.

As a Person Centred Therapist I believe no one knows you better than yourself. Perhaps you just need a little help to navigate your own path, and find your happy. Our sessions will last for 50 minutes, either face to face or online.

I work in a non-directive and non-judgemental way. I do not advise or interpret, I can help you, but I cannot do the work for you. There are many modalities of therapy, finding the one for you is important. That’s one of the reasons I offer a free 30-minute exploratory session to see if we can work together.

I can’t fix your problems for you, but I can promise that you won’t have to face them alone.

Online sessions are available.

Face to face therapy is held in Melbourn.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
