I also work as a Diversity Specialist Practitioner, and was a speaker for World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10th at the Piccadilly Theatre in London.
Would you like a space just for you, to share your feelings with someone where there is empathy and understanding, a journey to be heard and the freedom to release whatever is weighing you down? Maybe you have been considering talking to someone but felt anxious or unsure which way to turn, to take the first step towards therapeutic support.
Have a look at my Supervision profile if you are a counsellor, student or allied profession worker. I supervise in charities, local services, education, healthcare and other settings.
I am a member of the BACP, and ACAMH, the leading organisation for therapists working with Children & Adolescents.
I am a Qualified Substance Misuse Counsellor and trained Bereavement Counsellor. I recognise the difficulties faced in the process of grief and coping with loss. The feelings of anxiety, sadness, depression, anger, disbelief and shock. I am able to support those struggling with addictions across the scale, from seeking recovery, abstinence and the journey along the way. I work with addictions and related patterns, such as the impacts on your relationships.
A trained school Counsellor, I work with children of all ages (4-18 yrs). I've worked in Primary and Secondary schools, a specialist centre with talking and creative therapies, Private Practice, local services and other settings with children and young people.
I started my journey working with Complex Mental Health issues 23 years ago within the South London and Maudesley NHS Trust.
I provide one to one counselling for both long and shorter term work. This could be a structured contract of 6-10 sessions, or ongoing where there are issues you would like to explore in more depth. There is no time limit.
I have over 23 years experience working with diverse communities, and incorporate culture and faith into my work as therapist. I work with clients with Complex Mental Health needs and those whose first language is not English. I support access to therapy for minority groups, and Women's health. I have a particular interest in this area, including post natal depression, children of a post natal mother and related attachment issues, and impact of women's health conditions on the mind and body.
The therapy space is calm and welcoming, with street parking and direct transport links outside both practices.
My practice in Sidcup is next to the High Street with street parking outside and transport links.
I have a central location in Bromley town centre. It's close to all amenities, direct parking and transport links, bus stop outside.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
