About me
Hello, I can help you to: Control your negative thoughts & behaviours | Manage your feelings | Reduce your anxiety | Focus your mind | Set your Goals | Resolve problems | Own your own values | Assert your boundaries | Empower you to be you.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are navigating a range of challenges. These include shifts in family dynamics, grief from loss—whether it's a loved one, job, or home—as well as coping with illness, accidents, trauma, depression, and anxiety. I also help clients address worries about the past, present, or future, along with feelings of isolation, loneliness, social difficulties, bullying, and body image concerns.
As a dedicated Person-Centered Counsellor, I leverage a variety of creative and solution-focused tools to empower my clients. My approach is tailored to meet your unique needs, ensuring that the techniques I use resonate with you personally. I incorporate methods such as sand tray therapy, Russian dolls, letter writing, vision boards, mindfulness practices, psychoeducation, narrative therapy, play therapy, and more. Together, we will explore your concerns and uncover pathways to healing and growth
I will walk with you on your journey - listening, supporting and understanding
Background/experience
My work as a therapist has been for charitable organisations such as Mind and Action for Carers. As well as in the private sector with BUPA and my own private practice. I have helped couples and individuals both face to face and online. My work covers diverse backgrounds, cultures and sexual orientations.
Prior to training as a counsellor, I had a varied career. From running my own businesses, to working for corporate companies through to becoming chairperson of the Parent Teachers Association at my children’s school.
How Therapy Can Help?
Therapy empowers you to deeply understand and accept yourself. By challenging your thought processes, it provides you with essential tools to navigate your inner conflicts and emotions with greater ease and effectiveness.
In this confidential and supportive environment, you will have the opportunity to explore and gain valuable insights into your experiences.
This journey will help uncover and transform any unhelpful patterns of behaviour and thought that may have developed over time. Together, we will focus on your unique needs and aspirations, guiding you towards a path of growth and fulfillment that resonates with your goals. Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
