About us

Lochaber Hope is a charitable organisation which believes everyone should be able to access counselling and that cost should not be a barrier.

All our counsellors are qualified to a minimum of diploma level or are studying towards this qualification and gaining their placement hours with us.

We are currently looking for Child and Youth counsellors with a face-to-face availibility, working from our Fort William office and schools in the area.

We have over 15 years of experience working as a person-centred organisation in Highland.  We commit to best practise and work within COSCA Ethical Framework and Code of Practice, and we are Organisational Members of COSCA.  We have regular internal and external clinical supervision and undertake regular continuous professional development (CPD)

We provide a confidential therapeutic environment, allowing clients to safely explore what ever may be preventing them from realising their potential and living a life free from dysfunctional restrictions.

Training, qualifications & experience

Counsellors are qualified to, or training towards, a minimum of diploma level.

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
