About me

I am a fully qualified integrative therapist, experienced in working with couples and individuals of all ages, and from all walks of life. I'm not your everyday counsellor, I truly believe that we all have it within us to be our best selves, happy and content, but that comes from understanding ourselves better. I often see clients in the middle of a crisis who need more immediate help, and I also work with individuals who are otherwise happy but want help moving forwards in their life. Another key consideration of understanding ourselves, is insight into how our past experiences have shaped the person we are today.

In relationship therapy, I see couples who may have got into bad habits, and may want help building an environment which will enable the relationship to flourish once again. Couples often wait until they are nearly at breaking point before seeking out help, and this can put incredible strain on things. Having someone to offer perspective and a bit of a reset can really help.

My ethos is that every client is unique, as I am an integrative therapist, I can tailor our therapeutic journey to suit you in the best way possible, whatever that may look like. I can also offer walking therapy for individuals, where we meet in the great outdoors, walking and talking. This can be particularly helpful for clients who might be apprehensive about starting therapy.

I offer free, in person assessments for individuals. This means you have the chance to ask me any questions you may have about starting therapy, and it also gives you a chance to see if we would be a good fit to work together.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
