About me

Navigating the maze to find a therapist that resonates with you can be overwhelming, especially when you're already facing challenges that seem insurmountable. If you're here, it's because you're ready for change, and I commend you for taking this courageous first step.

My expertise lies in supporting clients who are grappling with a wide variety of feelings - anxiety, depression, low self esteem, unresolved anger - emotions that often stem from life's pivotal moments such as the end of a relationship, the grief of losing someone dear, or the stresses of professional life. Family issues and relationship often drive some of these more challenging feelings. These experiences can be transformative, yet incredibly challenging without the right support.

Why did I choose this path? My journey into therapy was driven by a profound desire to empower individuals in overcoming their struggles and to foster a deeper sense of fulfilment in their lives. As a fully qualified counsellor, my educational background includes advanced degrees in counselling and psychology. My experience spans a wide spectrum of personal issues, engaging with clients from various walks of life, each with their unique story and therapeutic needs.

I believe in the innate potential of every individual to lead a life filled with joy and purpose. Although you've bravely taken the initial step towards healing, it's normal to feel tentative about what comes next. To ease this transition, I offer a complimentary 30-minute consultation. This is an opportunity for us to connect, discuss what you're going through, and outline how we can journey together towards the life you aspire to lead.

Embrace the chance to transform your life. Let's take that all-important second step together - let's begin this journey towards healing, growth, and a happier, more fulfilled you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
